OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is the ideal solution for integrating data, voice and video into a single product for small and medium-sized businesses. It can be used in scenarios such as government and enterprise calling systems, commercial call centers and dispatch center industries.

The UCP product series includes the chassis, console, main control card and module cards, etc. The concept behind UCP is that users can choose different functional and performance module cards as well as control cards according to their needs, and these modules are connected to the backplane via high-speed Ethernet using special communication connectors. UCP products adopt a SIP softswitch core, high integration, and an integrated broadband and narrowband design, which can effectively improve communication efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Modular design allows users to directly install, configure or remove communication modules such as consoles, main control cards and service cards. Switching and service modules can support hot-swapping.

Each module is connected via high-speed Ethernet, then connected to PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) voice switching equipment or a private network via wireless trunking, digital trunking, analog trunking, and broadband SIP trunking.

The main control module is compatible with the most widely used IMS/NGN, IPPBX platforms and SIP servers, and can be installed with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operating platforms, etc.

The service module connects to the master via SIP signaling; in terms of software integration, it is fully compatible with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operating platforms.

OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is not just a VoIP gateway or an IPPBX; it is a hybrid unified communications platform that includes both VoIP gateway and IPPBX functions. You can easily customize your IPPBX and VoIP gateway with different interface modules in a single chassis. The UCP supports the Central Switching Unit (CSU), Central Control Unit (CCU) and Module Unit. The Module Unit comprises the Wireless Trunking Unit (WTU), Analog Interface Unit (AIU), Digital Trunking Unit (DTU), Radio Interface Unit (RIU), Audio Communication Unit (ACU), RAID Storage Unit (RSU) and Storage Expansion Unit (SEU), supporting access to GSM/LTE lines, analog lines, digital lines, RAID and storage expansion. UCP service cards can be optional depending on system capacity. Empty slots for unconfigured interface cards require blank panels to be installed.

The UCP1600 is a standard 1U chassis, 434 mm wide, 330 mm deep and 44 mm high, and can be installed in a 19 inch cabinet according to IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. The UCP1600 provides one main control card slot and four module card slots to meet the business needs of users with fewer than 100. The main control card module is based on X86 architecture and operates as an individual IPPBX system with Linux and Windows support. In addition, the service card identifies the initial IP address based on the slot number, e.g. slot 2: 172.16.80.2.
