OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is the ideal solution for integrating data, voice and video into a single product for small and medium-sized businesses, and can be used in scenarios such as government and enterprise calling systems, commercial call centers and dispatch center industries.

The UCP product series includes the chassis, console, main control card, module cards, etc. The concept of UCP is that users can choose different functional and performance module cards as well as control cards according to their needs, and these modules are connected to the backplane via high-speed Ethernet using special communication connectors. UCP products adopt a SIP softswitch core, high integration, and an integrated broadband and narrowband design, which can effectively improve communication efficiency and reduce operating costs.

The modular design allows users to install, configure, or remove communication modules such as consoles, main control cards, and service cards directly. Switching and service modules support hot-swapping.

Each module is connected via high-speed Ethernet, then connected to PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) voice switching equipment or a private network via wireless trunking, digital trunking, analog trunking, and broadband SIP trunking.

The main control module is compatible with the most common IMS/NGN, IPPBX, and SIP server platforms, and can be installed with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX, and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operation platforms, etc.

The service module connects to the master via SIP signaling; in terms of software docking, it is fully compatible with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX, and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operation platforms.

OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is not just a VoIP gateway or an IPPBX; it is a hybrid unified communications platform that includes both VoIP gateway and IPPBX functions. You can easily customize your IPPBX and VoIP gateway with different interface modules in a single chassis. UCP supports Core Switch Unit (CSU), Core Control Unit (CCU), and Module Unit. The Module Unit includes Wireless Trunk Unit (WTU), Analog Interface Unit (AIU), Digital Trunk Unit (DTU), RAID Storage Unit (RSU), and Storage Expand Unit (SEU), supporting access to GSM/LTE lines, analog lines, digital lines, RAID, and storage expansion. UCP service cards can be optional depending on system capacity. Empty slots for unconfigured interface cards require the installation of blank panels.

The UCP2120 is a standard 2U chassis, 434 mm wide, 330 mm deep and 88 mm high, which can be installed in a 19 inch cabinet in accordance with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. The UCP2120 provides 2 main control board slots and 9 module board slots to meet the business needs of users from 100 to 1000. The main control board module is based on the X86 architecture and operates as an individual IPPBX system with Linux and Windows support. In addition, the service board identifies the initial IP address based on the slot number, e.g. slot 2: 172.16.80.2.
