Overview

The FXO400 Quad-FXO module allows OpenVox A810/A1610/A2410 analog cards to terminate four analog phones per module.

With its modular design, users can activate additional ports at any time by adding more FXS400 or FXO400 modules. These modules transmit all call features supported by a standard analog telephone line.

Functions:

FXS - Foreign Exchange Station

FXO - Foreign Exchange Office

An FXS device initiates and sends a ringing voltage. An FXO device receives the voltage sent by the FXS device.

The phone receiving the call is the last FXO device in the chain, and when it receives voltage from an FXS device, the phone rings.

Connect the outside line to an FXO port on your Asterisk server to receive voltage from outside lines.

Connect the phones to the FXS ports on your Asterisk server. When the FXO module on your Asterisk server receives voltage, it then generates voltage using the FXS module and sends it to your analog phone.
